A New York Construction Accident Lawyer Who Represents Injured Workers Tracking Developments in Construction Accident Law.

A former crane inspector employed by the NYC Department of Buildings pleaded guilty to accepting a bribe in the amount of $10,000 for falsifying crane inspection reports as well as the results of operator exams.

James Delayo was arrested after the 2008 crane collapse at East 91st Street that killed two people. However, his arrest was unrelated to the collapse, since he was responsible for inspecting cranes of a smaller size than the tower crane that fell. His arrest was triggered by additional scrutiny brought on by that collapse.
